Provide technical support for Novell's customers using Novell products.
Location: Prague, Czech republic (generous relocation package offered)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical support issues.
Document solutions to known issues.
Advocate customer requests and offer innovative ideas to improve product quality.
Develop a working knowledge of applicable technical support debugging tools.
Build and enhance relationships of trust with the Novell Technical Services(NTS) Worldwide Support organization and other organizations within Novell upon whom NTS is dependent.
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field or equivalent experience required.
Software troubleshooting skills
Customer service skills
Written and verbal communication skills in English and German or English and French or English and Spanish
Ability to analyze technical issues.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, expand knowledge and solidify expertise in the the Information Technologies field.
Some experience with Novell products – eDirectory, GroupWise, NetWare, OES, ZENWorks
Experience with Linux – SuSE, RedHat, etc.
Background in administering and troubleshooting Linux
Technical certifications – LPI, CNE, CLP, CLE, NCE
