Societe Generale Expressbank is now officially a partner of the Empower United Foundation in realizing the most significant event in Bulgaria for development of business ideas - "
Empower Award for Young Entrepreneurial Excellence".
The partnership agreement was officially signed today in the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism by Thomas Higgins - Chairman of the Foundation and Empower United and Philippe Lhotte - CEO of Societe Generale Expressbank in the presence of Evgeni Angelov - Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism.
The support for The Empower Award for Young Entrepreneurial Excellence is in line with the bank's policy on social responsibility to support talents in art, sport or business. This partnership will bring into the Empower Award competition the experience of Societe Generale Expressbank in the field of SMEs’ development.
As a part of the overall support of the initiative, the bank will provide expertise and assistance to future professional young entrepreneurs during the competition. In this sense the bank will develop seven corners “Empower Award for Young Entrepreneurial Excellence” in 7 branches of the Bank in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.
Except the last monthly meeting in Sofia in May 2010, two additional open meetings for the EMPOWER Award are going to be organized in Plovdiv and Varna. The meeting aims to help applicants to adapt their ideas to the specific parameters of the economic environment in our country, and to ask their questions live to the experts present.
We reming you that, the deadline for receiving application documents in the competition was extended to June 30, 2010.
