On the 13th of January 2001, on an official ceremony in Sofia, organized with the support of JobTiger, International Human Resources (IHR), a company of VM Finance Group, received their second 2-year license for exclusive representative of the
“Investors in People” standard for Bulgaria.
Special guests of the event were His Excellency Steve Williams, ambassador of Great Britain in Bulgaria, Mr. Traicho Traykov, Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Mr. David Gale, Operative Director of Investors in People International and Mr. Ivan Vasilev, manager of TNT Bulgaria.
Mr. Steve Williams opened the ceremony with an official speech about the importance of the standard for the private and public sector in Great Britain and in many countries all over the world. He emphasized at the role the standard could play for achieving the crucial mission for increasing the Bulgarian
economical competitiveness.
Minister Traicho Traykov greeted International Human Resources for their engagement in popularizing the standard that have already proved its
productivity, efficiency and people orientation. He defined the standard as necessary for Bulgaria.
Mr. David Dale made a brief presentation of the standard history and its influence on improving the
company performance. The “Investors in People” certified companies increase several times their business results.
For example the international logistics company TNT doubles its turnover in a world scale for 5 years. The manager of TNT Bulgaria Mr. Ivan Vasilev shared that due to “Investors in People” the company saved all the working places, achieved its aims and continued to motivate the employees through a bonus scheme during the crisis.
„Investors in People” is a part of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills that consults the United Kingdom government about the social policy, strategies, measures and aims for economy and employment development.
„Investors in People” is internationally acknowledged in more than 75 countries and has been adopted in more than 35 000 organizations. It gives new opportunities for the Bulgarian business and public sector for improving the companies’ performance and results through their employees.
Since the renewal of its license, IHR is an exclusive consultant of the companies, willing to certify by the “Investors in People” standard.
