Responsibilities

LTSF, as a provider for purchasing activities within the whole Lufthansa Technik AG group, is extending the purchasing activities of Lufthansa Service Center Sofia department and therefore looking for a Group Purchasing Management Specialist.

Working in a team of GPMS with main focus on leading, conducting and coordinating complex tender projects with a focus on contracted repair services (cMRO) within the LHT-Group worldwide (especially Europe and USA) with the overall target to increase the level of available sourcing alternatives for LHT and leverage towards the OEMs within the industry as well as the level of market know how of component MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) for LHT.

Requirements and necessary skills

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead, conduct and coordinate complex tender projects with a focus on sub-contracting (MRO) within the LHT-Group and with international divisions of labor (Europe, USA) and negotiation with suppliers (including the application of various forms of tendering).
• Elaborate, coordinate and work on purchasing and cooperation targets (e.g. part number scopes for tender projects) for suppliers and technologies in cooperation with internal stakeholders and other purchasing departments with the target to lower the costs, increase the supply reliability and to shorten lead and turn times.
• Support in the design, development and optimization of processes, methods and tooling for MRO-tender projects primarily in the 3rd Party supplier market. Usage and provision of specific know-how about tender standards, tooling and methods.
• Creation of decision papers, reports, evaluations and analysis as a basis of management decisions in the field of MRO tendering; Usage of databases, tools and programs provided by strategic purchasing Prepare and review reports related to MRO tendering
• Liaises with Strategic corporate purchasing in Hamburg on a daily base and coordinates on a professional basis with all internal and external colleagues
• Organize and lead telephone/video conferences and meetings with the all stakeholders as well as suppliers regularly in support of the tender projects
• Collaborate with other Lufthansa purchasing departments and product divisions to identify potential synergies and to use them in order to enhance purchasing efficiency
• Initiate improvements in processes and procedures within his/hers fields of expertise
• Take responsibility for leading other projects and tasks

Requirements:

• University degree with a focus on business administration, economics, international business or business engineering
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in international business environment
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in purchasing environment
• Distinct knowledge of business administration processes and supply chain management. Technical affinity is seen as an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in leading contract negotiations, including legal terminologies and concepts
• Proactivity, creativity and high engagement
• High level of responsibility, determination, assertiveness and persuasiveness
• Distinct analytical and conceptual thinking
• Ability to present and transfer complex topics in a precise, clear and structured way
• Excellent language skills in English (both written and spoken).German language is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge in Excel/Word/PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP R/3 or other ERP system is desirable. Excellent use of email, internet, and other computer tools
• Adaptability and ability to work in team
• High flexibility and resistance to high workload
• Willingness and readiness to conduct business travels abroad frequently
• Availability to comply with the specific working time requirements to cover different time zones due to customer and supplier need
