We have an opportunity for a Banquet Managers to lead our conference and banqueting team. As our C&B Managers, you will be responsible for motivating the team, communicating with the kitchen brigade and other departments. You will be capable of supervising the floor team and ensuring our high standards are met, and your attention to detail will be second to none. You will be genuine and passionate about offering the very best service and always striving for consistency both in service and product. Reporting to the F&B Operations Manager, you will be an excellent communicator, a real presence on the floor and very hands on ensuring consistency time and time again.
Operationally deliver, co-ordinate and implement conferences, weddings and other special events to a high standard, using a hands-on approach where necessary to ensure guest expectations are met, and exceeded at every opportunity.
Ensure the boardrooms and meetings and event space is set up in accordance with guest specifications prior to running the function.
To ensure that all organizers are contacted and welcomed upon arrival.
Conducts daily briefing with the team before every service, concerning food and beverage, events, special requirements, VIPs etc.
Responsible for the delivery of C&B related training and monitoring of personnel development plans, reviews, appraisals, and objectives for each team member, as well as development of innovative training.
Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing process, performance management process and all linked administration in conjunction with the Human resources Department, for all employees within the C&B team.
To manage the appropriate levels, procedures and conditions of stock.
Ensure the team members are fully trained to use any equipment they may need to perform their duties.
To ensure all team members understand and comply with all relevant licensable activities.
Responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with budgeted manning percentage.
