is seeking applications for the following position: National Project Director (REF. ESI-CENTER-NPD)


The Director of the European Software Institute (ESI) Regional Center in Bulgaria is a part of the Core Team of the UNDP project. The incumbent encompasses duties related to the overall coordination of the work of the UNDP project for establishment and operation of ESI Center in Bulgaria. He or she will supervise the overall work of the project and ESI Center working in strong collaboration with the executing and implementing agencies of the project – Ministry of Transport and Communications and ICT Development Agency. These includes directing and coordinating the implementation of the ESI Center project strategy, preparation of work plans, organization of meetings and reporting to the Government of Bulgaria and UNDP. The director of ESI Center – Bulgaria is also responsible for direct management of the work of the Center and implementation of the project results according to the UNDP project requirements. He or she will also will participate in the decision making process for implementation of the project strategy and further developments related to this project

QUALIFICATIONS
1.Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Economics.
2.Strong understanding of ICT and related aspects.
3.Strong understanding and experience in Software Development (process, methodology and management).
4.Strong understanding of the concept of Sustainable Human Development.
5.Sound research and analytical skills, academic experience.
6.Full command of English.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1.Experienced in international projects management
2.Experienced in project management systems
3.Excellent communication and organizational skills
4.Excellent team worker and strong decision maker
5.Fluent in Bulgarian and English (excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills)
6.Relevant experience, international publications, training and other qualifications is an advantage
