SOFTWARE RPG DEVELOPER

Main duties and responsibilities:

As an RPG developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing business-critical applications on the IBM Power I platform. You have to draw up change requests and technical designs, as well as analyze and identify problems and implement solutions. Last but not least, you have to test for changes and upgrades incl. the deployment processes. You will work closely with the internal teams of the company as well as with the customers' technical teams.

Experience:

Required skills and knowledge:

- 4+ years of experience as an RPG developer;
- Previous experience working with Java;
- Professional experience working in Unix environment incl. Linux (various distributions) and OS/400;
- Good knowledge of IBM Power I (AS/400, RPG, SQL, DB/2);
- Some experience in data management: IBM PureData System for Analytics, and IBM Cloud Pak, MS Azure;
- Very good command of English language ( B2 level);

As an advantage but not mandatory:

- Some experience working or using Cobol;
- Experience using low-code application platforms: Thinkwise & Microsoft.
