Lufthansa Technik Sofia LTD. started its operations in October 2008. The company performs heavy maintenance checks on the Airbus A320 family and Boeing B737 including B737 Classic and B737 NG.

Responsibilities

The role of the Business Process Expert is to:

- To develop the Lean Program Architecture within the PD based on and in close cooperation with PD strategy and to facilitate the strategic deployment process. And to provide input and develop ideas for projects and initiatives that support the PD’s strategic objectives;
- To ensure and support the design, implementation and improvement of the Production System of CBM and all other products in the PD;
- To develop, lead, support, and consult projects in the PD, related to process improvement and to the achievement of the PD’s strategic objectives;
- To support the PD in the development of Continuous Improvement initiatives and to facilitate Lean workshops in the PD;
- To build up and develop the required Lean, Continuous Improvement and Project Management standards and skills within the PD;
- To coach and train on the application and utilization of LHT Lean programs, tools and methods
To ensure governance, co-ordinate activities and improve the Production System of CBM and all other products in the PD for its elements and processes such as performance management, project management or process management;
- To coach and challenge the PD on the basis of real-life observation - both in Production and in Services;
- To engage in the LHT Lean community e.g. in the role of Lean Academy trainer or contributing to working groups or best practice sharing;
- Other tasks when required, e.g. to ensure communication or to support innovation activities.

To be successful with the role you need to obtain:

- Completed University degree in Industrial Engineering/Business Administration or verifiable equivalent knowledge and skills;
- Minimum 2 years of work experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills;
- Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Lean management and continuous improvement tools and methods. Eagerness to further develop these skills and expertise (e.g. by becoming a Lean trainer at the LHT Lean Academy, gaining Lean star certificates and formal qualifications as per LHT standards, etc.);
- Strong ability to understand and apply Change Management and Conflict Managemen;
- Objective and reliable judgement;
- High degree of assertiveness and ability to maintain attention to detail under pressure;
- Good facilitation and coaching skills;
- Be a team player and have the strong ability to make other people engage;
- Have commercial awareness, customer service orientation and a technical understanding of the MRO business;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent Project Management skills;
- Intercultural awareness;
- Ability to work under limited supervision;
- Willingness for international duty travel

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS \ COMPETENCIES

- A track record of leading successful Change Management, large-scale Process Improvement / Transformation projects;
- Additional training or qualification in improvement methodologies (Lean, Agile, Six-Sigma etc);
- Practical work experience of at least 3 years in Base Maintenance operations or comparable environment;
- International experience;
- German language skills.
