So, what will I actually be doing?
Assistant accountant supports the accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
Other duties and responsibilities of the job include:
Ø Entering financial information into appropriate software programs;
Ø Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable;
Ø Preparing statutory accounts;
Ø Managing payroll;
Ø Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team;
Ø Assisting with budgets;
Ø Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies;
Ø Encoding accounting entries for data processing;
Ø Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts.
