We are happy to share that Eren Kenan (Student Aerospace Engineering at Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey) has successfully completed his internship at Latecoere in the plant in Plovdiv.
Eren brought a fresh outlook, eagerness to learn, and a true passion for aerospace. He shared his thoughts on the internship experience, his career dreams, and what inspired him to pursue engineering.

✈️ Could you tell us how and why you chose Latecoere Bulgaria as your training company for the internship in three words?
- Aerospace, learning, new country.
✈️ Would you share your dreams for the future?
- My dream for the future is to become a skilled aerospace engineer who contributes to innovative projects on an international scale. As I progress in my career and continue to expand my knowledge, I also aim to maintain the hobbies and social activities I developed during my university years.
✈️ Will you return to Bulgaria?
- Gaining experience in companies abroad is among my plans. After my experiences in Plovdiv and at Latecoere, I see a high possibility of working in Bulgaria.
✈️ You dream of becoming an aerospace engineer. What inspired you to pursue this career?
- Yes, I want to reinforce the theoretical and experimental knowledge I learned at university with real-life experience and develop myself in this direction. I believe my mother being a physics teacher had a great influence on this. Since I was always involved with science subjects in high school, I wanted to study engineering at university. At first, I didn’t choose aerospace knowingly, but over time I realized how right that decision was.
✈️ As a future engineer, do you know a funny story about engineers?
- I could not think of a funny story, but the TV series The Big Bang Theory, which every engineering or science student would enjoy, came to my mind. I probably wouldn’t have liked it this much if I hadn’t chosen engineering.
✈️ What do you wish for Latecoere Bulgaria?
- I wish Latecoere Bulgaria continued success and innovation in the aerospace industry. These past two months have been extremely valuable for me, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn from such a skilled and welcoming team. I hope the company keeps growing and continues to inspire young engineers like myself.
