We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our client’s Accounting team in Sofia. Reporting to the Chief of Finance, the successful candidate will ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, reconciling and consolidating transactions and will contribute to the efficient operation of the department.

Отговорности

• Responsible for managing all accounting activities from tracking the invoices to booking accounting entries; monthly reconciling of G/L accounts and inventory
• Prepare monthly reports, assist company’s external accountants in annual financial reports
• Monitor and respond to tax authority communications and other statutory requests
• Prepare, check and consolidate value added tax returns and Intrastat reports
• Use accounting procedures to identify any potential risks
• Offer advice and suggestions on reducing costs and improving profits
• Responsible for monthly invoicing and collections
• Execute payment transactions and manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal cash flow reports
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Analyze all financial reports and data to ensure that all transactions have been recognized accurately
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through automation and / or efficiency initiatives
• Other ad-hoc tasks

Изисквания и необходими умения

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 4 years of experience in a relevant position
• Experience in tax accounting, tax advisory or tax auditing
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, good knowledge of MS Office, and familiarity with relevant computer software
• Very good knowledge of English
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work well with deadlines and be dependable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
