Our client is an international company that improves the way organisations, people, and technology work together by transforming, controlling and optimising IT landscapes, workplaces and applications.

They offer support and resolutions to the most complex technology challenges. Now they are looking for an Accountant to join their team in Sofia.

The Accountant will be working in our client’s new office based in the centre of Sofia. They provide accounting services for European entities, with whom they are in daily contact. In this role, you will be involved in the month-end closing activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, posting accruals and pre-paring journal entries.


Job Profile for Accountant
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Perform day-to-day and month-end closing activities as per the schedule and in accordance with the company’s policy
Provide accurate and timely monthly reconciliations
Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries
Calculate and post accruals and provisions
Support the financial stakeholders from the European entities in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
Open items management on specific accounts
Help the junior accountants in Bulgaria in their daily activities
Support external audits as required
Assist with developing and documenting operating procedures
Build relationships with local teams
Proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and share knowledge and best practice
Identify and follow-up on process opportunities directly impacting daily activities within the team
Support with team projects for process innovation and improvement, actively test and implement new tools and software
Proactively maintain and develop technical knowledge in order to execute tasks effectively

Изисквания и необходими умения

Candidate Profile for Accountant

Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in other Western European languages is advantageous
University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
3 years relevant Accounting experience
Experience in a Shared Service Centre environment is advantageous
Working knowledge with ERP systems (SAP/Dynamics/Oracle) is a plus
Experience in transition projects is a plus
Good understanding of Accounting principles
MS-Office skills and advanced knowledge of MS-Excel
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders
Highly detail-oriented and organised
Able to meet deadlines
Team player
