As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development
and operations teams to optimize and maintain multiple environments
– with the goal of ensuring reliable and efficient monitoring.
Your daily routine would include:
Performing administrative server tasks such as installations,
deployments, configurations, upgrades, security patching, and
maintenance in PROD and non-PROD environments, as well as the
integration and de-integration of monitoring agents;
Analyzing and resolving reported monitoring issues across all
supported environments and/or services using our ticketing system
(ServiceNow);
Monitoring system/service health including diagnosis and root cause
analysis using CheckMK, log analysis, troubleshooting, and
resolving issues within defined SLAs;
Planning and coordinating changes, upgrades, and new services to
ensure stable operations;
Developing scripts to automate routine operational tasks (e.g.
system checks, Git hooks for various scripts across multiple
environments);
Planning and designing new complex monitoring solutions in
collaboration with customers and service managers.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
3+ years of enterprise experience operating, maintaining, or
optimizing enterprise monitoring solutions (like CheckMK, Zabbix,
SCOM, or similar);
3+ years of enterprise experience as a Linux/Unix System
Administrator;
Experience with scripting (Python, Bash or similar) for automation,
report generation, or operational routines;
Experience with Linux automation technologies and system management
tools such as Ansible, SALT;
Ability to identify and resolve faults, document processes, and
drive continual operational improvements;
Experience in monitoring and/or maintaining Oracle or MySQL
databases;
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes;
Experience in web development using Python, Django, or similar;
Experience in handling SSL certificates;
Familiarity with cloud environments like Microsoft Azure, Amazon
Web Services (AWS), or Exoscale;
Good command of German.
