We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Payroll
Specialist to join our team in Sofia. This role is essential for
ensuring the seamless management of our HR administration and
payroll functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional
with a strong understanding of HR processes and a passion for
supporting employees.
Main Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Management: Independently manage the
end-to-end payroll process, including monthly and yearly closures,
in collaboration with local providers. Serve as the primary point
of contact for employees regarding all payroll and benefits-related
inquiries.
HR Administration: Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from
preparing contracts and annexes for new hires to managing
resignation processes.
Reporting & Compliance: Generate various HR reports as needed
and ensure all processes comply with Bulgarian employment laws and
company regulations.
Compensation & Budgeting Support: Support the yearly salary and
bonus review process, as well as the budgeting process for the HR
function.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain effective communication and a
positive relationship with internal stakeholders, local providers,
and public authorities.
Process Improvement: Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects aimed at
improving operational efficiency and consistency.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in an HR and Payroll-focused role
Knowledge and Education:
Working knowledge of Bulgarian employment laws, regulations, and
reporting requirements
A university degree, preferably with a Human Resources or Business
Administration emphasis.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of HR systems such as Workday or PeopleDoc.
Additional Skills & Competencies:
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
in both Bulgarian and English.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and a demonstrated
ability to understand and navigate complexity.
Interpersonal Skills: High level of interpersonal skills to build
positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
and handle sensitive or confidential situations.
Work Ethic: A self-driven, motivated individual with a high level
of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining
confidentiality.
