The Insurance Support Officers should be able to ensure a good
professional level of administrative support across all of the
business lines and for all transactional insurance tasks. Using
group IT tools such as Salesforce, Riskonnect, etc.
The Insurance Support Officers will interact with both insurance
professionals within the group (global head of insurance, property,
liability and marine product line managers, regional insurance
officers) as well as our internal LDC clients, being the platforms,
regions and group and ensure a seamless and professional insurance
service.
The candidate’s primary LDC contacts will be with the line manager,
the Global Head of Insurance and the Program managers (property,
liability, marine). Other contacts within the group depending on
tasks assigned would be operational managers at group or platform
locations.
Equally, there may be necessity for contact with external suppliers
such as insurance brokers, agents and insurance companies.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering the underwriting information from within the
group and liaising with the various functions to obtain same
(finance, industry, SHE, platforms, regions, etc).
Develop presentation tools for submissions to underwriters for the
renewal/placement of LDC risks
Develop reporting tools for insurance, management, platforms,
SEC
Manage insurance policy data within insurance IT tools
Manage claims within group insurance IT tools
Manage the property insurance recommendations
Being in contact with the sites in order to provide, collect and
follow the recommendations
Ensure that all information is duly added in the IT tool
Follow the contact between LDC sites and broker/insurer in respect
of the recommendations
Monitor the Insurer’s survey plan
Prepare regular reports in order to provide an information
(internal and external) for the evolution of the
recommendations
Maintain quality of information held within the group insurance IT
tools
Administrative policy management, using group insurance IT
tools
Assist in the allocation of premiums within the LDC group
Verify and Manage the flow and payment of insurance premiums with
the LDC group
Gather/request data/information in respect of insurance claims from
within group or from external partners
Prepare claims for submission to insurers.
Other tasks as they are identified and transferred
Experience:
Knowledge of various types of business insurance especially
Financial literacy, good with figures (advanced use of excel
program)
Presentation/reporting skills (advanced use of power point)
English - fluent written and verbal
Other skills and competencies:
3+ years’ experience in a similar position
Service orientated
Well organized, open minded, friendly and reliable
Adaptable personality in respect of diversity of contacts and
relishing the challenge in an international environment
Time conscious, able to work to and maintain strict deadlines,
resistant to stress
Great team spirit and team involvement.
French would be a plus
