IP Data Center and Security Engineer
As a Network Engineer at A1 Competence Delivery Center, you will
play a key role in the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of
telecommunications and IT infrastructure across multiple countries.
Working alongside senior engineers and technical teams, you will
take on greater responsibility in managing network solutions,
troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting service migrations
and configuration changes.
This position is ideal for professionals with foundational
networking experience who are ready to deepen their technical
expertise, contribute to large-scale projects, and mentor junior
colleagues. You’ll be part of a dynamic, international team
dedicated to operational excellence and continuous professional
growth.
Your daily routine would include:
Participate in international projects and activities, collaborating
with senior engineers as needed.
Deploy and support new network solutions, taking on greater
responsibility for implementation and troubleshooting.
Perform service migrations and configuration changes, ensuring
minimal disruption and high quality of service.
Work closely with team members, field engineers, and other
technical groups to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues and contribute to
knowledge sharing within the team.
Maintain accurate documentation of network activities, changes, and
incidents.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to
operational best practices.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
Understanding of IP networking, including advanced concepts in
Switching, VLANs, VxLAN, STP, SDWAN and Routing protocols (such as
OSPF, or BGP).
Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms
(e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint)
Experience in documenting activities performed, including network
changes, troubleshooting steps, and solution designs.
Participation in professional networking courses or certifications
(Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar).
Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
German language skills are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to
evolving environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive
approach to technical challenges.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse,
international team.
