Network Automation Engineer

As a NetOps Engineer, you will automate, maintain, and optimize network operations in an international environment. Blending advanced networking with programming skills, you’ll use tools like Python and Terraform to streamline processes and support large-scale infrastructures.

You’ll work with experienced engineers to design, implement, and manage network solutions, focusing on both traditional and automated methods. This role is ideal for those passionate about networking and automation, ready to drive innovation and continuous improvement as part of a collaborative team.

Your daily routine would include:

Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools (primarily in Python) to manage network devices and services.
Participate in international projects and activities, collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Deploy and support new network solutions, focusing on scalable and automated approaches.
Perform service migrations, configuration changes, and troubleshooting using both traditional and automated methods.
Integrate network operations with APIs, orchestration systems, and monitoring platforms.
Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation workflows, network activities, changes, and incidents.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational best practices.


We’ll know you can make it if you have:

Proficiency in Python for network automation, including experience with libraries such as Netmiko, Paramiko, Ansible and Terraform.
Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining automation scripts for network operations.
Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating network devices or platforms via API calls.
Experience in documenting activities performed, including automation workflows, network changes, and troubleshooting steps.
Participation in professional networking or automation courses/certifications (Cisco, Python, Ansible, or similar) is an advantage.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving operational environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse, international team.
