On behalf of our client, a reputable company in the Energy sector,
we are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Portfolio
Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a motivated
professional with expertise in electricity markets, portfolio
management, and renewable energy trading. The successful candidate
will be responsible for optimizing energy transactions, analyzing
market trends, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to
enhance profitability and ensure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Portfolio Management: Monitor, analyze, and optimize the
energy trading portfolio to ensure a balanced and profitable
strategy;
• Market Analysis: Track electricity market trends, price
fluctuations, and regulatory changes to identify business
opportunities;
• Balancing Group Coordination: Oversee the Standard and
Combined balancing groups, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements and efficient energy offtake agreements;
• Contract Management: Manage offtake agreements, ensuring
adherence to contractual obligations with renewable energy
producers;
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and
operational risks related to energy trading and portfolio
performance;
• Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships
with RES producers to ensure seamless integration into the trading
portfolio;
• Operational Oversight: Collaborate with internal teams to
enhance forecasting models, optimize trading strategies, and
improve service standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or
a related field;
• Proven experience in portfolio management, energy trading, or
balancing group coordination within the electricity market;
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy markets, electricity
trading regulations, and risk management practices;
• Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting models, and trading
platforms;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage
stakeholder relationships effectively;
• Fluency in English.
