MAIN CHALLENGES:
- Ensure smooth implementation of the Operational risk management
framework by methodologically supporting business units in UBB
- Support business lines in creating and maintaining inventories of
risks and controls for the respective banking areas and domains
- Train and support the operational risk coordinators in bank
business units
- Design presentations and other materials for respective risk
trainings, promote positive and strong risk culture
- Contribute to the development of new or enhancement of existing
OpR management techniques
- Participate in the preparation of various operational risk
related reports to local management and KBC Group in order to
communicate the effectiveness of UBB risk and control environment,
incl. OpR losses and issues.
- Coordinate and support operational risk coordinators in bank
business units to identify, register and analyze operational risk
incidents/ Ensure proper execution of Loss data collection process
in UBB
- Participate in risk-based reviews and control monitoring
exercises
- Participate in the implementation of the Business Continuity
Management framework in UBB and provide support to BCM
coordinators.
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE HAS:
- Higher economic education in one of the following areas: Finance,
Economics or Business Administration
- Knowledge of the respective Bulgarian and EU regulatory framework
governing operational risk in banking
- Experience in a control function (risk management, internal
audit) is a plus
- Banking experience is an advantage
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Fluent English
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way at all levels
of the organization
- Strong analytical and challenging capabilities, attention to
detail
- Good team player also able to work independently and manage
individual tasks
