Job Summary
The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimum quality of software products and processes. He would participate in project definition phase, will choose appropriate procedures and will plan and estimate testing efforts. He is responsible for manual and automated testing and for managing defect lifecycle. He would provide quality control at planned milestones to guarantee fault-free delivery. Also, he may be engaged in resources distribution and giving the tasks to the team he is entitled to lead.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in requirements analysis and specification. Work closely with Business Analysts for this purpose and proactively help them in the technical aspects of the requirements.
• Develop test plans and estimate test efforts. Along with that help with risk escalation and management.
• Choose appropriate testing methodology and verification procedures to ensure quality.
• Prioritize test activities to maximize quality within project constraints.
• Provide the team with the information they need and distribute the tasks among the team members
• Write logical test cases, review and update of the test cases.
• Design, implement, and perform automated and manual tests scripts.
• Assist developers in reproduction and localization of bugs.
• Manage the bug lifecycle (reporting, tracking, escalation, verification) using bug-tracking tools, ensuring bugs are fixed and documented.
• Prepare summary reports on the quality of the tested software.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement of the work process.
