Overall Purpose and Objective of Position
As a Trade Assistant for the Coffee Platform at Louis Dreyfus
Company, you will provide vital support to the Marketing team by
managing day-to-day operations, facilitating communication between
stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution of transactions. This
role requires strong organizational skills, data management and
entry, reporting/analyzing and the ability to work collaboratively
in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Assist commercial sales team; position reporting, sample requests,
AR reporting, pricing, etc.
Become an expert of business execution flows and processes.
Assist in tracking inventory levels and managing stock.
Provide backup on Sales desk, price fixations, contract entry,
sampling/allocations, CRM entries, etc.
Ad-hoc projects and day-to-day tasks to be assigned.
· Sales Support:
Help manage customer relationships and respond to inquiries as a
support to the marketing teams
Accurately manage and update SPOT inventory list
· Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the trading team and other departments to
streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
Liaise with traders, freight, and LDC coffee origins to support
execution of trade
Additional Responsibilities
Arrange and schedule trade shows: SCTA coffee Dinner, World of
Coffee, etc
Assisting with onboarding of new clients
Experience
Bachelor’s degree
International logistics or trade
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet
deadlines under pressure
Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal
supervision
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple
stakeholders.
Detail oriented with high attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Fluent in English, both verbally and written
