As part of our graduate training program, you will be exposed to
the fundamental components of agriculture, international shipping,
maritime law, finance and shipping innovations. The program is
designed to launch, support and accelerate your career by providing
the opportunity to work alongside and learn from highly skilled
professionals and mentors with wealth of experience in the Shipping
Industry. It takes a certain kind of tenacity to stand among the

Expected start date: October 2025.
*You will be based in Varna, but some flexibility is required as
part of the training may take place in Sofia. The travel and
accommodation will be arranged by LDC.
OBJECTIVE & STRUCTURE
The objective is to help you develop a broad understanding of the
company and its diverse activities, and to provide opportunities
for you to build your network across a number of areas, related to
freight and shipping.
Through a combination of structured training and informal
on-the-job learning, you will experience different areas of our
business. You will be assigned various individual and group tasks,
helping you build the skills and expertise you need for a diverse,
challenging and exciting career at LDC.
The Graduate program at LDC is a 2-phase process:
Phase 1 - Build business experience and skills: Graduate Trainee
for 12 months (full-time)
During this phase, you will get the opportunity to gain experience
across different roles withing the LDC’s Freight Platform and will
receive training on related topics.
Phase 2 – Moving into a regular role
At the end of the first phase, if job performance is high and there
is a business need, you will be offered a permanent role. Being a

people from diverse cultures and backgrounds in a highly motivating

SCOPE OF ROTATIONS
Each rotation will cover different aspects of our global operations
such as:
Finance in Shipping.
Fundamentals of Maritime Contract Law & Laytime
Negotiations.
Freight Analytics, Business Intelligence & Digitalization
(Dashboards, Data Accuracy & Automation).
Vessel Operations (Voyage Planning, Execution &
Optimization).

LANGUAGES & COMPUTER SKILLS:
Fluency in English is Essential.
Microsoft Office: preferred but not essential.
EDUCATION:
Recent university graduate with specialization in Accounting,
Finance, Economics, International Trade, Business, Maritime Law,
Logistics, Data Science and/or Shipping (or a 3rd or 4th year
student available for full-time employment).
WORK EXPERIENCE:
no work experience required (Maximum of 2 years)
