The Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities across the accounting organization including the preparation of monthly accounting records as well as related reporting, analytical activities and initiatives.
General Responsibilities
? Maintains financial records for subsidiary companies by collecting and analyzing accounting data
? Reconciles accounts by gathering subledger data and other financial data.
? Provides financial status information by preparing common and special reports
? Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
? Maintains accounts transaction and correct balances. Reconciling accounts. Depends on the accounting cycles can be GL accounts receivables, payables, INV and CIP assets, tax, P&L and other accounts; Makes adjusting entries and prepaids; preparing asset depreciation, reserves and accruals.
? Following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal. USGAAP and IFRS requirements.
? Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Experience / Qualifications
? A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
? Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
? Good communication skills
? Good organization and planning skills. Orientated to achieve goals and results.
? Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
? Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
? Friendly going with Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Very good in Excel. ERP like SAP or Oracle may be an advantage.
? Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including internal suppliers and customers
Key requirements:
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics
Relevant Experience
