Your daily routine would include:
∙ Administer the Automic Automation Engine and its
components (e.g. agents).
∙ Configure and maintain databases required for the
Automation Engine.
∙ Deploy patches and upgrade Automic components including
AWI, Tomcat, and agents (Linux, Windows, SFTP, MFT, SAP, etc.).
∙ Automate business processes according to customer
requirements.
∙ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to
Automic UC4.
∙ Provide 24/7 on-call support for incident
resolution.
∙ Coordinate with the Automic vendor to replicate and
identify bugs.
∙ Collaborate with multiple application teams and
stakeholders during critical (P1) incidents to ensure timely
resolution.
∙ Perform root cause analysis (RCA), with strong skills
in log analysis within Automic (UC4).
∙ Maintain and utilize good knowledge of the Automic DB
schema.
∙ Develop scripts for automation using Shell, Perl, SQL,
Python, Ansible, etc.
∙ Ensure alignment with ITIL processes and best
practices.
∙ Support and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley)
requirements by maintaining appropriate job execution controls,
documentation, and audit trails.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
∙ Hands-on experience with Automic/UC4 or other workload
automation systems.
∙ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
∙ Solid understanding of UNIX technologies.
∙ Familiarity with networking concepts and programming
fundamentals.
∙ Experience collaborating with vendors for incident
resolution.
∙ Background in document management technologies.
∙ Ability to generate technical documentation and
reports.
∙ Working knowledge of additional workload automation
tools is a strong advantage:
- IBM Tivoli Workload
Scheduler
- BMC Control-M
- Broadcom/CA Workload
Automation (Autosys)
∙ Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
(preferred), Remedy, or similar platforms.
∙ English – written and spoken. Proficiency in German is
an advantage.
