Ante Jandrijevic is looking for a new team member.
Your daily routine would include:
Install, configure, and administer Commvault backup solutions across diverse environments (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Oracle).
Monitor daily backup operations, troubleshoot failures, and perform proactive problem resolution to prevent data loss.
Optimize backup schedules, retention policies, and resource utilization, ensuring minimal impact on production systems.
Test and validate restores to guarantee backup integrity and support disaster recovery drills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system admins, DBAs, application owners, IT security) to define and support new backup requirements
Generate and maintain compliance, audit, and operational reports
Maintain documentation of backup configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
Keep abreast of Commvault updates, security patches, and industry best practices.
Support regulatory and security compliance efforts, including encryption and access control for backups.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
1–2 years of experience in backup administration or related IT operations (experience with large telecom/enterprise environments is a plus, not a requirement).
Basic understanding of backup concepts and willingness to learn Commvault in depth.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows or Linux (both is a plus but not mandatory).
General understanding of storage basics (e.g., deduplication, compression, replication).
Problem‑solving mindset, ability to troubleshoot issues, and good communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with Commvault (installation, backup job creation, policy management, troubleshooting).
Experience with disaster recovery planning or execution.
Exposure to scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
