Job Description

General duties

  • Strategic Advisory, Transformation & Organisational Effectiveness

Partner with senior business leaders on strategic initiatives, organizational challenges, transformation programmes, and organizational design decisions. Assess operating models, governance structures, workforce capabilities, and organizational effectiveness, providing recommendations that improve performance, support strategy execution, and enable sustainable growth.

  • Strategic Workforce Planning

Partner with business leaders to translate business strategy into workforce plans aligned with the bank's growth ambitions and financial objectives. Assess workforce risks, critical skill gaps, organizational capacity, and future workforce needs to support effective execution of strategic priorities. Establish workforce planning principles and promote a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to workforce decision-making.

  • Personnel Budgeting & Workforce Governance

Own the bank's annual personnel expense and headcount planning cycle, from budget development and stakeholder alignment through to forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis. Deliver executive-level insights on workforce costs, headcount trends, productivity, and resource allocation, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention.

  • Performance Management & Organisational Performance

Support the development and continuous improvement of the bank's performance management framework. Advise business leaders on goal setting, KPI design, performance measurement approaches, accountability mechanisms and other initiatives that strengthen execution and organizational performance.

  • Organisational Design, Job Architecture & Governance

Support the development and application of the bank's organizational design principles, governance frameworks, job architecture, and grading methodology. Partner with business units undergoing change to ensure organizational structures remain effective and aligned with business priorities while maintaining consistency across the enterprise.

  • People Analytics & Executive Insights

Generate insights from organizational, workforce, financial, and performance data to support strategic decision-making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to workforce effectiveness, organizational performance, workforce costs, and talent dynamics, translating analysis into concise executive recommendations.

  • Compensation & Reward Advisory

Contribute to the review and evolution of remuneration practices, market benchmarking, and compensation frameworks. Support reward-related decisions arising from organizational changes, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and annual compensation review processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in a management consulting firm, strategy function, transformation office, organisational effectiveness team or a similarly complex business environment.
  • Strong business acumen and an ability to understand complex organizational and commercial challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured, fact-based approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how organizations create value and execute strategy.
  • Motivation to build a career in the banking industry, with a genuine interest in transformation and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and adapt quickly to evolving business needs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and strong experience working with data.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, organizational design, compensation, performance management, or people analytics is considered an advantage but is not essential.
