Job Summary:
Latecoere Bulgaria Ltd. is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function and ensure compliance with Bulgarian legislation, IFRS, and Group policies. The role includes financial reporting, tax compliance, team supervision, and cash flow management.
Responsibilities:
o Maintain accounting records in SAP in accordance with Bulgarian and European legislation, IFRS, and Latecoere Group policies;
o Lead and supervise the accountants within the Finance Department;
o Enter and process primary accounting documents in SAP (invoices, payment documents, depreciation of fixed assets, payroll expenses and liabilities, provisions, etc.);
o Maintain supplier, customer, and general ledger account data in SAP;
o Issue sales invoices and prepare payment documents for bank transactions;
o Manage and plan company cash flows;
o Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with Group requirements;
o Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax returns;
o Prepare reports required by the National Revenue Agency (NRA), National Statistical Institute (NSI), Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), and other authorities;
o Liaise with tax authorities and other government institutions regarding accounting and tax matters;
o Monitor legislative changes affecting accounting and taxation and ensure compliance;
o Participate in the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with the Accounting Act;
o Support financial, tax, ISO, and other audits and inspections;
o Participate in asset and liability inventory processes;
o Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial budget and periodic financial forecasts;
o Ensure confidentiality of all company and professional information;
o Comply with internal labor rules, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
o University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
o Proven experience in a similar position;
o Strong knowledge of Bulgarian tax and accounting legislation and IFRS;
o Experience with SAP and MS Office;
o Good command of English (written and spoken);
o Self-disciplined and able to carry out detailed work with minimum supervision;
o Excellent and proven communication skills and ability to establish rapport and sound relationships within and outside the company;
o Able to establish relationships based on trust, confidentiality, and integrity;
o Proactive problem solver;
o A dynamic performer;
o Willing to learn;
o Hands-on, diligent and fast and effective troubleshooting.
