Your daily routine would include:
- Performing functional, performance, and compatibility testing on smartphones and mobile devices.
- Validating device behavior and performance across mobile networks (4G, 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc.).
- Executing test plans, documenting results, and identifying issues early in the development or launch cycle.
- Conducting both field and laboratory testing using specialized tools and testing equipment.
- Investigating system logs and debugging issues with vendor-provided diagnostic tools.
- Collaborating with device manufacturers and internal teams to share findings and drive issue resolution.
- Supporting device certification processes, software updates, and technical troubleshooting activities.
- Staying up to date with the latest smartphone technologies, operating system updates, and hardware innovations.
We’ll know you can succeed in this role if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in testing smartphones, mobile devices, or telecommunications equipment.
- Solid understanding of mobile communication standards such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G NR.
- Knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).
- Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience working with testing and network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, QXDM, MTK Catcher).
- Strong ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend solutions.
- Well-developed documentation and reporting skills.
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem solving.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with device certification or interoperability testing.
- Knowledge of IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS).
- Understanding of RF testing or network KPIs.
