About the Role

We are looking for a Financial and Administrative Expert to support the financial and administrative coordination, and reporting of projects funded by European programmes.
The position combines project financial administration and accounting-related tasks, with a strong focus on documentation, compliance, and reporting. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with regulatory requirements, procedures, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

IØ Project Administration and Coordination
· · Completing, reviewing, and maintaining timesheets in accordance with project and donor requirements;
· · Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project documentation in line with contractual and regulatory obligations;
· · Organizing, filing, and archiving project documents (contracts, annexes, deliverables, financial records), both in physical and electronic formats;
· · Supporting the preparation and submission of administrative documentation for project reports and payment claims.
Communication with managing authorities, institutions, partners, and project teams;
Maintaining complete, accurate, and well-structured project documentation.
· · Monitoring contract terms, deliverables, deadlines, and supporting compliance with contractual obligations;
· · Coordinating with project managers regarding administrative and contractual matters.

Ø Accounting and Financial Support:
Processing, reviewing, and archiving accounting documents related to project activities and ongoing project work;
Verifying expenditure eligibility in accordance with programme rules and applicable legislation;
Preparation of financial reports, financial statements, and project documentation;
Preparing internal financial reports and summaries;
Supporting audits, checks, and financial verifications;
Ensuring transparency, traceability, and accuracy of financial information.

Requirements and necessary skills

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
Experience with EU-funded projects and/or other donor-funded programmes is a must; Experience in financial, accounting, or administrative support of projects
Good understanding of cost eligibility rules and financial reporting requirements in EU projects;
Experience in working with financial and project documentation;
Proficiency in MS Excel and electronic reporting systems;
Very good command of English (B2 level or higher). Bulgarian language is a must.
