HR Payroll Specialist with German and English
Job Description
The Payroll Specialist manages pre-payroll tasks and ensures full
compliance with European labor regulations. The role requires
maintaining accurate payroll records, handling exception
processing, and supporting forecasting and analytics. Additionally,
this role will involve collaboration on mid-year and year-end
processes to ensure precise time management data. Proficiency in
both English and German is required.
Responsibilities:
Process pre-payroll activities, ensuring adherence to various
European labor regulations
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to gather necessary payroll
inputs and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, including
data for internal and external audits
Ensure all records meet organizational standards and regulatory
requirements
Manage exception processing, including special cases and one-off
payments
Forecast payroll expenses and generate analytical reports for
management review
Assist in mid-year and year-end tasks such as reconciling time
management data and adjusting records
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely submission of all
required information
Create regular payroll reports and dashboards, providing insights
to stakeholders
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, or a related field
Proficiency in German at a B2 level and English at a B1 level or
higher.
Experience with European payroll systems and a strong understanding
of relevant labor regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency
in spreadsheet software
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage
multiple deadlines
Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with
stakeholders at all levels
Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and
process improvement
Strong prioritization skills and adaptability in a fast-paced
environment
Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a supportive team
culture
Understanding of business processes and controls
