We are delivering one of Bulgaria’s most significant infrastructure transformation projects – the construction of Terminal 3, the modernization of the airport complex, and the transformation of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport into a five-star regional airport and Bulgaria’s gateway to the world.

For our Main ICT Division, we are looking to hire:
ICT Senior Project Manager

The Role:
SOF Connect is seeking an experienced ICT Senior Project Manager to lead the ICT delivery of Sofia Airport’s transformational Terminal 3 programme while overseeing the company’s ICT project portfolio and governance processes.

The role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position combines responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of all ICT workstreams related to the new Terminal 3 development and Terminal 2 refurbishment, including ownership of the integrated ICT programme schedule, testing and operational readiness activities, management of a circa €20 million ICT investment programme, contractor and stakeholder coordination, and compliance with aviation security, operational safety and cybersecurity requirements. The role also includes overseeing ICT demand management, portfolio prioritization and governance across the organization.

You will manage a complex portfolio of projects, lead multidisciplinary teams and external partners, administer ICT contracts, engage with a broad range of airport stakeholders, oversee ICT investments of significant value, and ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and successfully transitioned into operation within a live airport environment, in alignment with business strategy, budget constraints and airport operational requirements.

Your Profile:

• Master’s degree in ICT Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering large-scale ICT infrastructure projects in complex operational environments such as airports, transport hubs, hospitals or large commercial developments.
• Proven experience managing ICT programmes and vendors.
• Experience with ICT portfolio management, demand management, PMO governance and project prioritization.
• Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks and security systems.
• Strong project scheduling, budget control, risk management and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
• Analytical, resilient and results-oriented approach, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Fluent in English.
