Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for filling purchase orders, working alongside inventory management and other internal departments, forecasting sales by item, analyzing trends and inventory based on historical data and monitoring sales performance.

General Responsibilities
Leads the supply chain manager through maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
Responsible for the filling of purchase orders
Reviews allpurchasing requisitions
Leads in the development of creating an accurate and efficient monitoring system
Responsible for entering data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchases and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics
Leads research on potential suppliers and vendors; promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities

Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for indirect spend categories, including MRO, Facilities, HR, EHS, and Security
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective sourcing and category strategies
    • Lead supplier negotiations covering contracts, commercial terms, and pricing
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards
    • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to support informed sourcing decisions
    • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or cost
    • Partner with Finance and Legal on contract reviews, budgeting, and risk management
    • Analyze spend data and prepare regular procurement reports and insights
    • Support global procurement initiatives and ensure alignment of local sourcing with company-wide objectives

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
  • Supports the management and resolution of critical supplier delays and material shortages; contributes to the development of contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply
  • Working knowledge of English sufficient for day-to-day professional communication
