Our client is an international company that improves the way organisations, people, and technology work together by transforming, controlling and optimising IT landscapes, workplaces and applications.

They offer support and resolutions to the most complex technology challenges. Now they are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team in Sofia.

The Junior Accountant will be working in our client’s new office based in the centre of Sofia. They provide accounting services for European entities, with whom they are in daily contact. In this role, you will be involved in the month-end closing activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, posting accruals and pre-paring journal entries.


Job Profile for Junior Accountant
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Daily processing of received financial documents (3rd party invoices, expense reports, internal documents/requests)
Process payments to vendors, affiliates, properties, and customers (related to disputes)
Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
Support the financial stakeholders from the European entities in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
Reconcile bank transactions with accuracy and in a timely manner
Support external audits as required
Assist with developing and documenting operating procedure
Build relationships with local teams
Proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and share knowledge and best practice
Identify and follow-up on process opportunities directly impacting daily activities within the team
Support with team projects for process innovation and improvement, actively test and implement new tools and software
Proactively maintain and develop technical knowledge in order to execute tasks effectively
Support with other ad hoc activities when needed

Изисквания и необходими умения

Candidate Profile for Junior Accountant

Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Another Western European language is a plus
University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics is required
Previous experience in the financial area (Accounts Payable/Account Receivable (AP/AR))
Experience in a Shared Service Center environment is a plus
MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders
Highly detail-oriented and organised
Able to meet deadlines
Team player with values aligned with the company’s leading principles
