The American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) is one of the leading business organizations in the country whose priorities are related to the development of strategic relationships between Bulgaria and the United States of America. The Chamber has over 350 American, Bulgarian, and multinational member companies operating in the country.

The Chamber is looking for a Junior Communications Specialist to become part of their team.

The perfect candidate is goal-oriented, result-oriented and is not afraid to take responsibility. He/she has an impeccable business ethic and wants to develop himself/herself as well as AmCham’s team. He/she has excellent communication skills and is creative and proactive.


• Implementation of reliable and quality content management of the Digital Platform and Marketing Communication;
• Management of the Chamber’s digital platforms (website, bulletin, social media profiles);
• Coordination of the strategic and operational projects and tasks with the Communications and Public Affairs Manager and with the Event and Project Manager;
• Participation in team meetings where considered, proposed, planned and executed public presentation concepts and activities;
• Support of other team members with relevance to the scope of their work communication/marketing tasks;
• Support other elements of the marketing materials and other communication activities such as events and projects of the organization;
• In case of need, the person can substitute public presentations of AmCham’s president, Vice Presidents, CEO;
• Following the brand identity and high standards in reputation building, ethics, and stakeholder engagement.


• A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: PR, Media and Communications, Marketing, etc.;
• Previous experience in a similar position;
• Good command of Office 365, WordPress and MailChimp; good knowledge and understanding of modern technology in general;
• Experience in managing social media profiles;
• Excellent written and spoken Bulgarian and English language;
• Experience with online design tools or software is a plus (E.g. Canva);
• Responsible and proactive person with a positive attitude, possessing excellent time management, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Driving licence is an advantage
