THE CROWN IS YOURS
DraftKings is growing quickly, and we’re looking for a Lead .NET Engineer to help establish and lead a team centered around the mission of providing a best-in-class experience for our customers. This position requires strong technical skills and a bias toward collaboration. You will collaborate with various teams, provide insights for business decisions, and assist in expanding our enterprise software platform—an ecosystem of microservices. This platform manages casino gameplay operations and financial transactions, featuring high-performing APIs that deliver content to end users.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A LEAD .NET ENGINEER:
Take ownership of the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy, and operations of a full-stack team with API services written primarily in C# with SQL databases hosted in AWS and single-page applications written primarily in React and Node.js.
Collaborate with business leads across the company to define milestones and deliveries for new functionality to be added to existing applications.
Care about agility as much as you care about scalability. We roll out products very quickly and are looking for a team that can pivot at a moment’s notice.
Lead your team in design sessions and ensure they deliver high-quality work that aligns with the missions of our applications and platform.
Mentor and coach junior engineers, conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products within established timelines.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
5+ years of experience on a development team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.
Strong expertise in .NET software development stack, including C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, etc.
You have strong relational database skills using technologies like MySQL or SQL Server.
Familiarity with JavaScript, Typescript, and popular frameworks such as React and/or Angular, Node.js, etc.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar) is a plus.
