It is the role of the Supplier Quality Manager is to manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers. Leading and resolving component related quality issues, supporting daily supplier management activities, as well as managing the development and implementation of supplier quality related initiatives.
General Responsibilities
Manage department performance on the suppliers assigned by reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while checking work, tracking progress, enforcing company policy, training and motivating employees
Coordinate and communicate action plans
Manage the implementation of supplier audits and visits for their responsible suppliers
Ensure corrective actions and continuous improvement plans are completed
Support, develop, implement and complete supplier improvement plans with suppliers upper management engagement
Lead engineers on supplier-related problem solving
Preparation of quality evaluations, trainings, and statistics in combination with different tools
Lead the component supplier sourcing for new product development (NPD)
Ensure Supplier Quality support is available for customer audits, visits, and evaluations.
Participate in aligning the strategy with the Global Procurement department
Coordinate the team of engineers
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
