General duties
- Own and maintain the enterprise metadata inventory, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), providing guidance, frameworks, and support to business domains for their identification, assessment, and prioritization.
- Establish and enforce metadata governance standards, processes, and controls to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across the organization.
- Manage business and technical metadata, including links between business definitions, ownership, data lineage, mappings, and transformations.
- Ensure metadata is accurately documented, maintained, and accessible through the enterprise data management and lineage tools, supporting data usability and data quality.
- Partner with business, IT, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Legal teams to improve data transparency, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of metadata repository and data lineage solutions.
- Drive adoption of metadata management best practices and collaborate with business and technology teams to improve data discovery data lineage and governance capabilities across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT, Data Governance, Data Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
- Deep knowledge of data ownership concepts, Critical Data Elements (CDE), KRIs, KPIs.
- Strong understanding of data mapping, data lineage, and data flow analysis.
- Knowledge of BCBS 239 / RDARR principles and related regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven experience with data management tools (data catalogues, business glossaries, metadata tools). Practical knowledge IBM MANTA Data Lineage solutions (or other relevant) is a plus.
- Strong communication experience in enterprise-wide or cross-functional environments.
