As part of our strategic growth agenda, we are hiring a new Order-to-Cash Internal Controls Manager.


Our preferred locations for this role are set in Poland (Krakow) and India (Bangalore). We also expect the successful candidate to travel up to 10% of the time.

As Order-to-Cash Internal Controls Manager you will be part of the Order-to-Cash Global Process Owner organization. In this role you will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the assessment of financial reporting risks and the design, implementing and maintaining of a high-quality system of internal control over financial reporting, identifying and mitigating non-financial risks within O2C space jointly with respective sub-process owners within GPO team.

The Order-to-Cash (O2C) end-to-end process is a fundamental component of ABB’s transformation journey, both in the current technology environment and in the future. The primary role of the Order-to-Cash (O2C) Internal Controls expert is to ensure process quality in the current environment and lead the re-design of the O2C controls (where applicable) going forward as a result of continuous changes (AI) and continued ABB Way Finance Transformation Program and Data & System Modernization program (DSM).

Key responsibilities

Drive continuous transformation of the O2C internal control environment, focusing on optimization, simplification, and rationalization of controls while ensuring robust risk coverage 
Ensure the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) is fully up-to-date, comprehensive, and reflective of the evolving O2C risk landscape across all Business Areas 
Lead initiatives to increase automation and leverage digital solutions, including AI, to reduce manual controls and enhance control effectiveness and efficiency 
Partner closely with Business Areas and Divisions to deep dive into localized controls, challenge complexity, and drive harmonization and simplification 
Establish and maintain a strong benchmarking approach, actively comparing ABB’s control environment against external best practices and industry standards 
Strengthen compliance monitoring and governance through clear, streamlined Policies and Procedures—eliminating duplication, ambiguity, and increasing transparency 
Oversee execution of internal control activities including testing, deficiency assessment, root cause analysis, and sustainable remediation actions 
Act as a key contributor to global O2C transformation initiatives (including ABB Way Finance Transformation), ensuring future-proof control design and strong alignment with governance frameworks 
Facilitate discussions about operational & compliance risks with business and other relevant stakeholders i.e. with regards to TPM Sell initiative? 
Close involvement and collaboration around Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) build up, to ensure alignment with our RACM and internal risk classification 
Active role in assessing Order-to-Cash global projects in regard to their impact on internal control environment to ensure full synchronization and accuracy (e.g. Customer Master Data initiative or Third Party sell project) 

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in Order-to-Cash, internal controls, or risk management, ideally in a multinational environment or Big 4 advisory 
Strong expertise in internal controls frameworks (e.g., SOX, US GAAP) and risk management methodologies 
Proven track record in driving control optimization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives, including exposure to AI-enabled solutions 
Deep understanding of end-to-end O2C processes and their associated risks and control points 
Experience in benchmarking, governance framework design, and policy standardization across global organizations 
Strong stakeholder management skills and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across global, cross-functional teams 
Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex environments and drive continuous improvement 
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
