Job Purpose:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to drive quality engineering across our software delivery lifecycle. In this role, you will lead our test automation strategy, architect robust API and database validation suites, and establish quality standards across complex, scalable applications.
Role insights:
- Automation & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks (web and API) to accelerate release cycles and maximize regression coverage.
- Test Strategy & Quality Standards: Define comprehensive test strategies, risk-based testing plans, and acceptance criteria from complex functional and architectural specifications.
- API & Data Integrity: Architect end-to-end API validation workflows using Postman/Swagger and execute complex SQL validation scripts to audit data pipelines.
- CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Integrate automated test suites directly into continuous integration and deployment pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) for immediate feedback loops.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide daily QA activities in Jira/GitHub, mentor junior team members, and champion best practices in Git workflows and test automation.
What makes you unique:
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on software QA experience, with a proven track record in both manual and automated testing.
- Automation: Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium) and scripting (Python or JavaScript).
- Advanced REST API testing (Postman, Swagger, mock servers) and intermediate-to-advanced SQL scripting for data verification.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving for complex edge cases, architectural mindset, strong ownership, and fluent English communication.
Nice to have:
- Performance & Security: Experience with load/stress testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) or basic security testing standards.
- Methodology & Certifications: Advanced Agile/Scrum experience or ISTQB Advanced Level certification.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Exposure to containerized testing environments using Docker.
