The Role:
The role of the Reporting/BI developer is to provide a high level
of internal service on our core applications, building strong
working relationships throughout the business, adding functionality
to key business applications, and performing administrative tasks
on those systems.
The person must have experience working with reporting tools such
as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, along with the ability to work as part
of a team. They must be able to understand requirements, design
documentation and build solutions to satisfy these.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Work with remote development and project teams. Experience
working with Agile and DevOps methodologies would be
preferable;
• Creating database objects utilizing T-SQL, such as tables,
queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, indices, constraints
and user-defined functions;
• Creating and maintaining reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting
Services (SSRS);
• Designing, building and support Power BI dashboards;
• Investigation and timely resolution of issues;
• Developing and completing unit tests and engaging in the writing
of other types of automated tests;
• Deploying release into development and UAT environments;
• Develop and maintain technical documentation;
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical
stakeholders and business end users;
• Working with the product owner to deliver solutions with a smooth
transition through to the production environment;
• Adhere to change management procedures;
• Working closely with other team members.
