Your role will be:
- Be a trusted legal partner to the Bank’s corporate support functions, including Procurement, Human Resources, Property Management and other internal teams.
- Work on a broad range of supplier and service provider contracts, helping the Bank meet requirements related to outsourcing, personal data protection and DORA.
- Provide legal guidance on the Bank’s property and assets, including lease agreements, real estate and movable asset transactions, and related documents.
- Prepare powers of attorney and other legal documents that support the Bank’s everyday operations.
- Help colleagues with employment law matters and work closely with Compliance teams on personal data protection and anti-money laundering topics.
- Follow changes in legislation and case law and help turn them into clear internal guidance, policies and procedures.
- Represent the Bank in administrative proceedings and court cases connected with the work of the supported teams.
- Take part in legal risk management by assessing risks and preparing legal opinions in line with KBC Group policies.
- Support the registration and maintenance of the Bank’s trademarks.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues, business teams and the branch network to deliver practical, timely and business-oriented legal solutions.
You are the right candidate if:
- You have a Master’s degree in Law and have acquired professional legal qualification.
- You bring at least 5 years of legal experience; experience in banking or financial services would be a strong advantage.
- You feel comfortable working in English, including with legal terminology and documents.
- You have good knowledge of property, contract, banking, commercial, intellectual property, personal data protection and civil procedure law.
- You enjoy analysing complex topics, finding practical solutions and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
- You communicate clearly, work well with different stakeholders and build strong professional relationships.
- You are confident using MS Office and specialized legal software in your daily work.
