Role insights:

Maintain an inventory of all software assets across the organization and categorize software by type (licensed, open-source, freeware).
Use SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow, Snow, Lansweeper) to detect installed software and track usage.
Ensure compliance with licensing agreements (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle) and track license entitlements, allocations, and usage.
Prepare for internal and external software audits and maintain documentation and audit trails of licenses, purchases, and usage data.
Validate software against cybersecurity and data protection standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and ensure adherence to certification standards such as ISO/IEC 19770 (SAM standard).
Review and certify that software vendors and products meet internal security, legal, and technical standards.
Work with legal and procurement teams to ensure vendor contracts include proper licensing clauses.
Collaborate with IT security to assess and certify that software does not introduce vulnerabilities.
Develop and enforce software usage policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks.
Motivate and develop team members, ensuring a high level of engagement and productivity.

What makes you unique:

3–5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or IT Procurement.
Proven experience in leading or mentoring a cross-functional team in a technical or IT asset management environment.
Strong knowledge of software licensing models for major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, IBM, etc.).
Hands-on experience with SAM tools (Flexera / Snow / ServiceNow SAM Pro / Lansweeper, etc.).
Understanding of ITIL processes, especially IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.
Proven experience managing license audits and compliance programs.
Strong analytical skills and ability to generate meaningful reports and insights.
Strong organizational performance monitoring skills to manage team workload and priorities effectively.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Very good command of English (written and spoken).

Considered as advantage:

Certifications in:
ITIL Foundation
Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
Microsoft Licensing Expert or similar
Knowledge of financial/budgeting processes.
Experience in process automation or integrations with CMDB systems.
Experience in large organizations or international environments.

What makes you unique:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications in data processing or analysis is an advantage.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management or a similar leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise BI solutions, Data Warehousing concepts and advanced software development methodologies. Experience with planning tools, SAP (BI) and Cloud technologies is an advantage.
Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of inspiring and managing high-performing teams.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Fluency in English language, any other A1 Group language is an asset.
Willingness to travel within A1 Group’s footprint.
