Hristo Popov is looking for a new team member.
We’re looking for an experienced Storage Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team to design, implement, and operate enterprise SAN/NAS storage solutions with a focus on Dell/EMC platforms. You will ensure storage availability, performance, capacity planning, backup/recovery and disaster recovery for critical business systems.
Your daily routine would include:
- Administer and support Dell/EMC storage platforms (PowerMax, PowerScale/Isilon, etc.) and NetApp.
- Configure and maintain SAN/NAS (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) environments and SAN switching (Brocade/MLX/other).
- Capacity planning, performance tuning, firmware upgrades and system patching.
- Implement and test backup and disaster recovery solutions; coordinate DR runbooks and failover testing.
- Monitor storage health, alerting and trend analysis; implement remediation and preventive actions.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and maintain runbooks.
- Work with server, virtualization (VMware), network and application teams on storage requirements and change control.
- Participate in storage architecture design and procurement evaluations.
- Provide on-call support and respond to escalations during incidents.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
- 3–5+ years managing enterprise storage environments with hands-on Dell/EMC experience (NetApp is a plus).
- Deep working knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB).
- Experience with Dell/EMC platforms (PowerMax, PowerScale/Isilon) (NetApp is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for storage performance, connectivity and capacity issues.
- Scripting experience for automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of storage concepts: deduplication, compression, replication, snapshots, thin provisioning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice to Have:
- Dell EMC Proven Professional or other relevant storage certifications.
- Experience with storage management and monitoring tools.
- Experience in large-scale, enterprise or telecom environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (preferred).
