TransferMate Global Payments, a company part of the Clune Tech Group, is a leading FinTech, specialising in international B2B money movement.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this is a C-level leadership role in charge of all aspects of TransferMates Information Technology Strategy and Operations. This includes production of internal Infrastructure environments as well as oversight of all aspects of Software Development. TransferMates highly regulated business means that the successful CIO will be executing across our API technology stack, FX booking engine, Treasury and Payments Factory systems, internal and integrated Compliance platforms, Customer Relationship Management systems as well as internal collaboration and productivity tools.

The role is responsible for IT strategy formulation and execution, working hand in hand with our Product Management function in order to deliver best-in-class solutions to our global customers.

Responsibilities

-Oversee the people, process and technologies within TransferMates IT organisation to ensure delivery of outcomes in support of strategic goals of the business;
-Have in-depth knowledge of current trends in IT, will be highly analytical and possess excellent organizational skills;
-Develop a strategic IT roadmap in support of long-term business plans;
-Establish and supervise the IT operational and capital budget;
-Negotiate with vendors to procure IT products and services;
-Be able to bring together diverse remote teams to align for the successful execution of TransferMates strategic IT goals;
-Be able to go deep across the SDLC, understanding in-depth the processes and tools used and drive adoption of same in order to benchmark against industry best practices;
-Possess an understanding of security, compliance, and the importance of rigour to a regulated financial institution;
-As a financial organisation, security of our customers money and data is paramount and the tools and techniques to achieve this will be your passion, ensuring our platforms offer an intuitive, convenient, customer experience that is safe and secure;
-Have expertise in governance, budget management and risk management to enable you to proactively identify and manage risk through effective and innovative controls;
-Ensure effective business continuity processes are established for relevant systems and infrastructure and are tested successfully in line with policy;
-Supervise and enforce information security policies and procedures maintaining ISO 27001 standards;
-This is a regulatory role with CBI accountability, and so you will need to be able to engage and provide confidence to the regulator that TransferMates customers are in the right hands. Requirements and necessary skills

-Over 10+ years in senior IT management including IT Vision, Strategy and Planning - developing strategy / plans for IT Transformation and portfolio planning, preferably in regulated financial services;
-Experience in transformation programs and strong people management skills required. IT Industry best practice - Program/Project Management, Processes, Service provision;
-Bachelors Degree minimum in IT or related field. Additional qualifications demonstrating ability to apply academic rigour and industry best practice to common IT problems are welcome;
-With responsibility for diverse and remote teams, this role can be located remotely, but will require occasional travel to Kilkenny, Bulgaria and India.
