Prepare food items in accordance with specific instructions.
Prepare hot meals by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
Serve meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
Prepare ingredients by following recipes
Check food condition and temperatures, detects and disposes of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
Convey food and supplies from storage to the main kitchen, bakery, and/or salad preparation area.
Assure satisfying presentation of each food item.
Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
Ensures set up of kitchen including equipment and utensils, or other food service areas, including preparing areas for daily operations.
Coordinate daily food supply inventory for food service areas.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas, this includes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing washing as needed.
Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment.
Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints.
Assists with orienting new employees to their work area.
Provide guidance and training to other staff members performing related work.
Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provide efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.
Participates in and/or contributes to programs or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
