Main Responsibilities:

Communicate and liaise with vessel owners/masters/charterers, trading team and other relevant stakeholders
Responsible for following up on post fixture activities
Basic understanding of Stowage Plan
Bunkering Optimization ensure close collaboration with bunker desk to successfully manage bunker planning
Monitor vessel performance with assistance from 3rd party Routing providers
Understanding priciples of Voyage Profit & Loss
Understading of main charter party clause
Manage assigned external relations with customers and / or vendors
Ensure and champion a close and harmonious working relationship with the relevant Commercial team
Collaborate effectively with other Freight Platform desks
Experience:

up to 3 years as Operator of Time Charter dry bulk vessel
experience at Sea, preferably as officer on dry bulk vessels

Knowledge:

Significant and demonstrated customer or supplier relationship skills
Macroeconomics including trade flows is a great advantage
Good math and logical thinking skills

Languages:

Fluent in English is essential

Education:

University degree in Shipping, Math or Economic studies

Technical/ Functional skills:

Proficient in use if technology particularly Excel, Word, Shipping system (strong preference for IMOS)
Analytical skills
Negotiating and problem solving skills
Sea-going experience is a preference, but not essential

Other skills and competencies:

Customer focused and relationship building with key accounts (Internal Customers and ship owners)
Accountability and strong sense of ownership, team play and collaboration.
Ability to work to tight time constraints
Personal drive and the ability to motivate others
