The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for interfacing directly with our customers throughout the world, both on the phone and via email. The Specialist will book bank statements on a daily basis; review and process credit/debit memos, and reconcile customer receivable balances.
General Responsibilities
Downloading payment details and self-billing invoices from customers websites
Preparing and booking bank statements on a daily basis according to company's deadlines
Register and assign customer deduction for verification
Offset of Credit and Debit Memos with Charge Backs
Work pro-actively with other departments to identify and resolve issues
Investigate and resolve customer queries, payment discrepancies
Communication with customers in respect of missing documents and information via phone, email, mail
Respond to customer inquiries
Reporting of unapplied/on account receipts on a weekly basis
Support other reporting activities, as required
Perform reconciliation and month end activities as per schedule
Support Tax and SOX audits as required
Support other accounting projects, as necessary
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
