Job Description

Brief:

Support LDC’s OneStream-based EPM platform from Sofia as a core technical engineer, delivering deep configuration, performance optimization, rule development, troubleshooting, and technical platform stability.

This role contributes directly to building the EPM Center of Excellence, enabling scalable operations, technical autonomy, and long?term value creation across Daily P&L, Actuals, Forecasting, Group Reporting and future EPM roadmap components.

The resource will join at a key moment (platform ramp?up and CoE build), work closely with experienced internal and external experts, and quickly take ownership of meaningful technical components that directly impact Finance performance and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a performant and stable EPM platform by engineering optimized calculation rules, transformation logic, metadata structures, and data management sequences supporting Daily P&L, Actuals and future forecasting/budgeting evolutions.
  • Increase operational reliability by diagnosing issues through structured log analysis, rule profiling, interface troubleshooting, and strengthening end?to?end data quality.
  • Improve platform efficiency and performance by eliminating bottlenecks, optimizing cube design, reducing calculation runtimes, and enhancing orchestration/sequencing of technical processes.
  • Enable faster delivery cycles through structured test campaigns, reusable test assets, higher release quality, and disciplined deployments across DEV/TEST/PROD.
  • Enhance governance and audit readiness with documented and traceable configuration changes, secure rule design, access integrity, and compliance with 4?eyes review and IT controls.
  • Contribute to the EPM CoE foundation by producing technical documentation, reusable templates/patterns, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base assets.
  • Accelerate team capability building by pairing with a second junior profile (future hire), collaborating with the Solution Manager on admin/governance topics, and absorbing technical know?how transferred by external integrators (Inplenion).
  • Strengthen data accuracy and run discipline through validation logic, reconciliations, and coordination with BPO/Finance for master data, mappings, and load exceptions.
  • Strengthen data accuracy and operations through reconciliation, validation logic, and coordination with BPO/Finance on master data, mappings, and load exceptions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree (or final?year student) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, or equivalent technical field.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years in EPM/BI/Data engineering (internships included).
  • Exposure to OneStream or another EPM platform is a plus; strong aptitude for fast technical learning is essential.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English, oral and written is a must.

Soft skills:

  • Highly structured engineering mindset; analytical and precise.
  • Strong reliability and ownership, especially in run-critical cycles.
  • Curiosity, continuous learning, and appetite for technical depth.
  • Collaborative approach with Finance, BPOs, DT&A, and external integrators.
  • Resilience and prioritization during month?end close and Daily P&L cycles.

Additional Information

Knowledge:

  • EPM / OneStream Engineering (rapid upskilling expected):
    • Calculation rules, business rules, transformation rules, dashboard logic, workflows, and data management sequences.
    • Metadata and cube design fundamentals, with understanding of performance impact, aggregation paths, and storage structures.
    • Performance engineering mindset: profiling, optimization, structured debugging.
  • Programming & Scripting:
    • VB.NET or similar object-oriented language (C#, Java, Python acceptable learning base).
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable, auditable code (logging, exception handling, structured standards).
  • Data Foundations:
    • Basic SQL and MDX (or strong willingness to learn).
    • Understanding data integration principles, reconciliation, and log-based troubleshooting.
  • DevOps & Controls:
    • Git / Azure DevOps for versioning and pipelines.
    • Structured deployments across DEV/TEST/PROD.
    • Experience with ITSM change and incident processes (ServiceNow or equivalent).
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Documentation discipline (runbooks, change notes, rule comments).
    • Role-based access awareness, secure coding, and audit traceability.

Technical Bonus (Python & ML) Nice-to-have

  • Python fundamentals for automation, data processing, or building lightweight services to support the EPM ecosystem.
  • Machine Learning curiosity / exposure (academic projects or personal work) such as regression, anomaly detection, or time-series basics.
  • Comfortable with data libraries such as pandas / NumPy and basic ML tooling (e.g., scikit-learn) or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Interest in integrating external analytics/ML outputs into enterprise platforms via APIs, files, or automated pipelines (OneStream consumes the outputs; ML runs externally).
  • This bonus skillset is not required for success in the role; it is an opportunity to grow into EPM+Analytics use cases as the CoE matures.
