We are seeking an experienced Senior MySQL/MariaDB Administrator to design, optimize, and manage the operation of our database platforms. You will be responsible for complex environments including single-instance and high availability systems primarily on-premises with a roadmap toward cloud and Kubernetes-based solutions.
Your daily routine would include:
- Design, deploy, and manage MySQL/MariaDB high availability environments.
- Optimize database performance, query execution, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshooting of database issues and outages.
- Define and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards.
- Automate database operations and provisioning workflows.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
- Strong experience administering MySQL and/or MariaDB in production environments.
- Knowledge of MySQL Replication, Galera Cluster, NDB Cluster.
- Experience with performance tuning, index.ng strategies, and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, storage, and networking.
- Proven experience with backup/recovery tools and HA/DR strategies.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Kubernetes operators for databases.
- Understanding of containerized database deployments.
