Role Overview:
Lead and govern the end-to-end Workday architecture, driving solution design, integrations, and system optimization while aligning with business strategy, ensuring scalability, compliance, and high-quality delivery across a complex enterprise environment.
Role insights:
- Own the overall Workday solution architecture for a large telecommunications organization.
- Act as the design authority across Workday modules, ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise architecture, and long-term scalability.
- Define and govern Workday architecture standards across HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, Talent and Performance, and integrations.
- Lead solution design for new Workday initiatives, enhancements, and deployments.
- Partner with HR, Security, and Enterprise Architecture to translate business needs into optimal Workday designs.
- Ensure Workday configurations and extensions align with best practices and minimize technical debt.
- Provide architectural oversight for integrations, reporting, security, and data flows.
- Lead Workday release impact assessments and guide remediation strategy.
- Review vendor and system integrator designs; challenge assumptions and ensure quality.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, SOX, and GDPR requirements.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex Workday design or production issues.
What makes you unique:
- Proven experience as a Workday Architect or Senior Workday Consultant in large enterprise environments.
- Strong functional understanding of HCM core processes (hire, job change, termination, compensation, absence).
- Experience designing Workday for global, regulated organizations.
- Ability to balance strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.
